RCINY has the pleasure to announce the U.S. Premiere of an exciting theatre project conceived by Romanian director Ana Margineanu and developed in collaboration with U.S. director Tamilla Woodard.
Hotel Project, previously presented in Mexico, brings together artists from five countries to Summit, New Jersey and NYC, creating an immersive theatrical experience performed in separate rooms of a hotel and given for a single spectator at a time. Each audience member has the opportunity to view three rooms in an evening. Once inside, the plays begin to unfold and the spectator becomes the proverbial “fly on the wall”, an invisible witness to strange, unique and intimate stories. The event, presented with the support of RCINY, premieres a series of six new 15 minute plays (three for each hotel), with stories inspired by the very room the performance takes place in. The creative team includes: Mexican playwright/director Alfonso Carcamo, Spanish playwright Beatriz Cabur, American director Doug Howe, Romanian director Ana Margineanu, Argentinean playwright Matias Umpierrez, and American director Tamilla Woodard.
