Named best director in 2006 by UNITER, the Romanian theatre guild, for Vasili Sigariov’s Plasticine at “Toma Caragiu” Theatre in southern Romania, followed by the same award in 2007 for his production of Katalin Thuroczy’s joi.megaJoy at Odeon Theatre in Bucharest.

Bas player with the National Radio Orchestra and teaching assistant of the Bucharest Music University, Arthur Balogh is currently one of the most active bassist on the Romanian jazz scene.

Originally from Transylvania, Romania, now residing in New York, Lucian Ban has been nominated as “Best European Jazz Musician” by the Hans Koller Foundation and the Austrian Culture Department in 2005 & 2006.

Carmen-Francesca Banciu was born in Lipova, Romania, and grew up as the daughter of a high-ranking Communist Party official. When she won the International Short Story Prize of the city of Arnsberg, Germany, in 1985, this achievement prompted a publication ban in Romania.

Has built a reputation as one of the leading and most versatile musicians of our time. Through his work both as a virtuoso violinist and composer, he has managed to contribute to the development of a particular philosophy of new music, a music of the future, which bridges the gap between different fields; classical, folk, electronic, jazz and pop music.

Laurentiu Banescu  is one of the most appreciated new young actors in Bucharest. He is currently in 4 Bucharest productions – Vitamins by Vera Ion and Terrorism by The Preshniakov Brothers at the Small Theatre, New York [Fuckin’ City] and Bucharest Calling, both by Peca Ştefan at the MONDAY Theatre.

Gabriela Boiangiu is a Romanian artist living and working in the UK since 1999. In her artwork she is exploring issues of identity by using everyday life events and objects in producing artwork.

Mrs. Botez has designed for major theater and dance companies, including The National Theatre of Bucharest, and has participated with international theater festivals such as the Prague Quadrennial Exhibition.
